. Geometry
Geometry is such a creative and exciting class! We do much project based learning. This is a more abstract way of thinking than algebra and some students struggle. We will work together and it will be a wonderful experience. Kids need to be ready to work hard and stretch their minds and the way they are used to thinking. Problem solving is stressed and answers are not usually immediate.
We cover 13 chapters during the school year and topics covered include: Lines and Points, Polygons, Angles, Transformations,
Quadrilaterals, Transitive and Reflection Proof, Symmetry, Triangle Congruence and Proof, Perimeter and Area, 3D Shapes and Properties, Volume and Surface Area, Indirect proof and Logic, Similarity, Intro Trigonometry, and Circles. We have a lot to cover!
